What is Microneedling? An Introduction to our Secret Weapon.

Aging: It happens to us all. One of the hardest transitions to go through is the change from youthful glowing skin to wrinkled flabs. Nobody ever wants to admit to themselves that their prime has passed and their skin is starting to sag—and nobody should ever have to! Microneedling might be the cure you are looking for!

Wrinkles have become public enemy number one! We convince ourselves they’re no big deal, we try to cover them, and we deny their existence. We wake up earlier and earlier each morning to add yet another wrinkle-reducing serum to our morning schedule. Hiding wrinkles can quickly become tiring.

What if instead of finding new and creative ways to hide our wrinkles, we could get rid of them? With microneedling, we can reverse the clock and gain access to tighter, healthier skin – and that’s not even the best part!

Have you been looking for an effective way to rejuvenate your skin? Are you tired of blowing your hard-earned money of serums and procedures that don’t give you the results you are looking for? If you want to give your skin the ability to naturally fight off wrinkles, microneedling might be the treatment for you! What is microneedling, and what can it do for you? Keep reading to find out!

What is Microneedling? The Procedure Explained.

Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that involves pricking the skin repeatedly with tiny sterilized needles. The microscopic wounds cause your skin to produce more collagen and elastin, which enables your skin to heal and appear healthier than ever before!

Hello, Healthy Skin!

Microneedling has countless benefits for the skin and can help it to appear more plump and smooth. Microneedling can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as improve scarring from acne and other conditions. We will dive deeper into this later.

If you struggle with blotchy skin tone, whether it be from rosacea or other medical conditions, microneedling can help! With the introduction of new collagen to your skin cells, the discoloration can be naturally reduced.

Microneedling procedures require little to no downtime and are relatively pain-free. It sounds like a dream come true, right?

Does Microneedling hurt?

Having needles inserted into your face doesn’t exactly sound like a walk in the park, does it? While the treatment can come across as slightly invasive, the truth is, it isn’t as painful as it sounds! Your skincare professional will apply a numbing cream to your face before the treatment to reduce discomfort.

Once your numbing cream has taken effect, the treatment should be relatively pain-free! Many clients have expressed that the only areas that they feel any discomfort whatsoever are in areas where the skin is close to the bone (think cheekbones and forehead).

What Does Microneedling Do?

Microneedling can be used to treat countless skin conditions such as rosacea, acne scarring, wrinkles, large pores, and so much more! The main goal of microneedling: to stimulate the production of collagen and promote youthful-looking skin.

Because microneedling can promote a wide variety of improvements to your skin, it is hard to believe that these benefits can all stem from the production of one thing: Collagen. For you to fully understand the reasoning behind microneedling treatments, you must first understand what collagen is and what it does for your skin.

What Collagen Does for Skin

Collagen is arguably the best way to improve the look of the skin. It can reverse sun damage and discoloration including the hyperpigmentation that comes along with melasma. Collagen is found in the skin, tendons,  cartilage, ligaments, and the linings of the bones and blood vessels. It allows the body and the skin to retain its shape and resist deformation.

Collagen is the protein-peptide that keeps skin firm, supple and smooth. It is proven to improve skin elasticity which reduces the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks.

As we age, our production of collagen naturally slows. As our collagen levels dwindle, so do our days of wrinkle-free skin. Microneedling works by introducing small tears in the surface of the skin that stimulates the body to produce collagen to heal the wounds.

Benefits of Microneedling

Microneedling procedures come with a whole slew of possible benefits! When you undergo a microneedling treatment, here are some benefits you can expect to see:

  • Radiant skin
  • Improved skin tone
  • Fewer fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improvement of scars from acne and other skin conditions
  • Firmer skin
  • Improvement of rosacea
  • Rejuvenated skin
  • Reduced appearance of pores
  • Increased collagen production

This list of benefits is quite lofty, and there are countless more that can be added. For now, let’s take a closer look at two of the main benefits that many microneedle patients are lusting after: Wrinkle reduction and scar reduction.

Wrinkle Reducer

One of the most sought-after benefits of microneedling is the reduction of wrinkles and fine lines. Dermatologists have found that microneedling sessions can reduce the appearance of fine lines, crow’s feet, and deep forehead wrinkles. With proven results over time, it is hard to say no to something as amazing as microneedling!

Scar Correction

Are you somebody that suffers from the aftermath of acne scarring? Accepting the bumps on your face does not have to be the ending to that story! Microneedling has improved the scars and bumps of plenty of people just like you. Over time, the increased collagen production from a microneedling treatment can cause your scars to heal and correct. The best part? Since the collagen is naturally produced by your body, the results will look natural as well!

How Many Treatments Do You Need?

In this section, we will go over how many microneedling treatments are needed in order to see lasting results. While some of these improvements can be seen immediately following your treatment, for more long-lasting results, microneedling must be performed in a series of treatments over time. Most dermatologists recommend a set of three or more sessions in order to see significant results.

It is important to note that while you may see immediate results following treatment, the majority of the benefits will not be visible until your body has fully healed from the treatment. In most cases, this can take anywhere from two to four weeks.

I found it interesting how you mentioned that you could reduce lines and wrinkles in your skin by micro-needling. My wife is considering looking for a spa and salon because she noticed the other day that the skin on her face didn’t look as healthy as it usually does. It seems sensible for my wife to contemplate going to a reputable professional to help her skin look as nice and healthy so that she can feel as best as possible. https://ariyamedspa.com

It’s interesting to know that microneedling can help with wrinkles, acne scarring, large pores, and more. I have been looking into different facial treatments because I had really bad acne when I was younger, and it left a lot of stubborn scars. Microneedling seems like a good option to help me get rid of those so that I can stop being so self-conscious, so I’ll have to find someone that can help me get it done. http://divinece.com/service/
