Hello, lash lovers! Amidst the chaos of the novel Coronavirus, it can be hard to know what steps to take to keep yourself and your clients happy and healthy. At My Absolute Beauty, we have implemented safety measures to keep our staff and customers safe. Today, we will be sharing our recommended procedures and introducing you to resources you may not have known you have.

My Absolute Beauty’s Coronavirus Precautions

We want to update you on the evolving Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, and the precautions we are currently taking at My Absolute Beauty. At this time, our warehouse is continuing its regular hours of operation. We are actively listening to and implementing instructions given by the CDC and government leaders.

We have implemented the following precautions to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus:

• All staff are required to wash and sanitize hands regularly
• Should a staff member show symptoms, they are asked to self-isolate and seek medical attention when appropriate
• Non-essential personnel will work from home until further notice.

Product Availability Update

Due to the unpredictable nature of employee shortages or business closures, the currently healthy supply of on-hand stock may falter. In the event of these unusual circumstances, we ask customers to be understanding and patient.

Training Update

As per usual, we ask that trainers emphasize the cleanliness of their training areas and supplies. Encourage the importance of hygiene with proper handwashing and health and safety measures.

During this time, we will be extending our cancellation policy for students wishing to book classes. If a student wishes to postpone attendance due to the Coronavirus, we will allow them to rebook the course at a later date. If a trainer feels unwell, we will cancel and rebook their class.

As the Coronavirus circumstances change, so too will our company precautions per the Government requirements. We will keep our customers, trainers and stylists informed of any procedural or operation changes as they come up.

Coronavirus Safety Measures to Implement in Your Salon

Your salon should be a place of peace and tranquility for your customers to escape their day-to-day worries. With the outbreak of Coronavirus, this peace should not falter. There are many things you can do to ease the minds of your customers. Many stylists have taken the opportunity to reach out to their customers and allow them to see inside their salon and the safety precautions they have implemented to keep the Coronavirus out.

By putting these preventative measures in place, you will create a safe and sanitary sanctuary for your business to continue to thrive through these unpredictable times.

Sample Coronavirus Email

As a duty of care for all of my clients, I would like to share a list of procedures that I have implemented in my salon for the continued safety and wellbeing of myself and my customers:

1. As always, all tools used in my salon are either disposable or thoroughly sterilized between uses.
2. I wash my hands thoroughly before each treatment and allow clients to do so as well.
3. I take the temperature of each client before allowing any treatment to take place.
4. I wear a disposable mask and have masks available to clients as well.
5. I wear rubber gloves during any treatment.
6. Sanitization of the treatment area occurs before and after each client.

I hope that these safety precautions will help my customers to feel at ease as they continue receiving treatments at my salon.

What to do in the Event of Mandatory Quarantine

While you can go about placing preventative measures in your salon, there is the lingering possibility of mandatory quarantine. We know that this impending possibility can weigh hard on the minds of our stylists, so we would like to make sure you are all aware of the sources available to small business owners if quarantine does transpire.
